About Me

Get Functional.  Get Strong

Functional strengthening and fitness  to get you to your best  physical level possible!

My name is Dr. Manuel Arruffat PT DPT.

I am a rehabilitation professional with over 14 years of experience. I have worked in hospitals, skilled nursing and outpatient facilities specializing in sports based injuries as a Doctor of Physical Therapy.   I have always enjoyed participating in sports mainly soccer,  running trail races and regular races of distances from 5k to 50 miles.  I briefly trained in BJJ and Krav Maga and was impressed with the conditioning drills.  This motivated me to obtain my strength conditioning/personal  training related certifications in addition to practicing as a Doctor of Physical Therapy.  While working with older clients I realized that these exercises could be applied toward their treatment sessions and they demonstrated significant improvements in comparison to "PT mill "(therapy clinics that employ an aide to cue the client through minimally challenging exercises while seeing multiple patients) exercises.  They also seemed to enjoy their exercise prescription.

AS the founder of fysioplus strength and wellbeing my purpose is to help meet the needs of clients of all ages looking to improve overall fitness as that is true REHAB.

While the world of fitness and wellness is broad and has many different approaches, one common standard to look for is what certifications does a practitioner have.

Below are Certifications I currently hold:

Current Certifications:

  •  *ISSA Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach (SSC)
